I want to know if the bypass module for remote starter safe and what it does to OEM security system?
Everywhere I go they tell me that I need a bypass module in order to install a remote car starter on my ford focus 2004. I am wondering if that won’t have a negative effect on the overall security system of my car. I also want to know how it works. Is it permanent or it only works when the remote car starter is activated? What do you think will be for me to do?
What you need from Ford is what’s called a “Pats Interface Lock” and the part number for it is a 19G365 — This unit is sold with every Ford Remote Starter. However, I am not sure if it works with an aftermarket remote start. This interface is inexpensive and you should be able to pick one up today. I hope this helps out!
